Sadly, for unforeseen and unknown reasons

my book, thus far, it the only one

which

has completed the exchange and has returned home.

This is truly bittersweet.
Of grave concern is the whereabouts

and completion levels

of Sandra, Jella, and Lisa's books.

They have not made is past the second rotation.

We each hope and pray that

Cindy is well and that the books will once again fly free.

We have tried endlessly to make contact and resolve this dilemma.
Until then,
My Muse and I hold Cindy's book in safekeeping.

I cherish my book to pieces...she is a special irreplaceable treasure.

Tentacles and Butterflies

This was fun because I was able to blend my entry with both Jella's and molossus' entries by folding the moly and meeting each of our designs at the seems. This was fun because when viewing my entry with Jella's, my and molossus' entries seem to leave off, go behind and come out the other end of Jella's. But when moly is folded back and molossus' and my entries are placed side by side, they flow together as well. So this was like working in two moly's at the same time...really fun compositional problem-solving!

My entry in Jella's moly pages 5 - 8 a.k.a. "Rumi, Unchain My Heart". Inspired by the quotes that Jella incorporated into her zentangle, I incorporated a quote by Rumi that is dear to me:

Hey there! Let's all post our next entries please...meaning the second zentangle drawing but in our first rotation. I am so excited that this blog is getting updated little by little...YAY!

This was the first entry in my moly for the Zentangle Moly Exchange Group which began at the end of last Summer/beginning of Fall. There have been so much beautiful work created by this group. Like Margaret, I am also very eager to have my dear little moly arrive soon into my grateful hands. Stay tuned for more uploads!

Next Exchange Date!

Hi there everyone!


Just a reminder that our next exchange date for our molys is Tuesday, May 31st. If there is a need for an extension, please, please, please communicate through our (this) blog. There is no shame in needing an extension but transparent communication is extremely important in being respectful and courteous the this awesome group of artists who are waiting to recieve their precious molys and their one-of-a-kind artwork in their hands soon. This May exchange date really should complete the rotation and th project, but there are several molys that have not advanced to new hands in quite a while. It is crucial that we have communication on the blog so that we can all know when to expect our molys to arrive.


Lastly, this is such a great and talented group. Please let's be active and consistent in communicating and contributing to the activity of this blog. We should all be so proud of our artistic contributions as well as to share this project with the rest of the world.


I look forward to seeing this project's virtual blossoming.

Exchange Date Reminder

Hi Everyone,

Our next whole group exchange date is set for March 31st. If for some reason, there is a need for another extension, please keep lines of communication open and I am sure it can be worked out.

Also, for those of you who have not posted your sign-in pages yet, please do so. Then we can have a round of everyone posting their first entries. The work is so beautiful and impressive and I want us to be able to "show it all off".

So once everyone has uploaded their sign-in page, I will call for first entry from everyone, then second, and so on.

Next Exchange Date...

Hi Everyone!

Just a friendly reminder that we are working on moly's for a two-month time frame. Our next exchange date is scheduled for February 28, 2011.

Thanks so much for keeping lines of communication open among group members and for thoughtfulness and understanding on all ends. It is so important as we had agreed at the start of this project.

We have such a great group! So pleased to be a part of it all...the group, the collaboration, the inspiration, the creation, and so excited each time a new piece emerges. This is awesome!

Our moly_x_11 Blog Banner...

Any ideas for creating a more colorful and personalized banner for our blog?

1. One thought is to have each of us design a piece of the banner and post when finished.

2. Another idea is for one of us to come up with the composition and lettering and for the rest of us to "tangle" around it.

Any other ideas?

I thought is would be a good idea for each of us to first post our sign-in pages. Once all of the sign-in pages are posted, we can each post our first entries as a group, then second, then third as we would have if we would have had our blog from the beginning! I was thinnking that would make the most sense as far as sequencing and documenting our progress throughout the project as well as for archiving purposes. Does that work for everyone?

How exciting that our moly_x_11 blog is up and running!

This is a very exciting group project that we have committed to here and what a talented group that we have assembled! Not only talented, but dedicated and very supportive of each other. I am so very honored to be a part of it! The work that has been produced so far is impressive as seen on each of our members' individual flickr sites and it is exciting that it will all now be able to be viewed here as a cohesive body of work!

So for the record, I just want to state here that we decided as a group that we would call our group the "Zentangle Moly Exchange Group", a.k.a. moly_x_11. We also decided that although the Zentangle art form is what we would be incorporating into our group project, that "strings" and "tangles" would be incorporated in a way that was unique and true to the individual artist's interpretation and style, leaving as much room for flexibility, exploration and growth as possible within the project. We decided that a 2 month rotation period would be appropriate.

Our moly_x_11 is made up of 5 members from around the world: 1 from Oregon, 1 from Belgium, 2 from Arizona, and 1 from Tennessee.

Our only "requirement" was to really have fun with this project. And I believe we are accomplishing just that!

So let's get started on the blog moly_x_11!!!
